About the event
Shemini Atzeret is the Holiday that immediately follows the seven-day festival of Sukkot. It is considered a separate holiday in its own right and is observed on the 22nd day of the Hebrew month of Tishrei.
Shemini Atzeret is a day of rest and assembly, during which special prayers are recited, and a prayer for rain is added to the daily prayers as a request for blessings for the upcoming rainy season. It is also a time to reflect on the themes of completion and new beginnings, as well as a time to celebrate the relationship between the Jewish people and their Creator.
